First one is a fine image Sam. The only nitpick I have is the lack of contrast but I understand that the air quality was a little hazy and not a lot to do about that. A little contrast boost would make it appear a little less flat and washed out. On the plus side I really like the composition and the calmness of the scene and the little pieces of grass in the foreground help to make it a really nice image indeed

I love the mood conveyed in the first photo. Thank God for the patch of grass popping up to hold the viewer's interest & eye. You're horizon is only slightly off level, one of my bad habits I'm trying to correct. Overall a good couple of shots. I like the first best.
