Re: Have you got paid for your work?

Just because I am cheaper is does not mean that I am not any good.

It just means I do not want to charge 'rip off' prices and I dont need the money.

I am offended at the 'cheaper tradesmen' remark.

A very upset jols!

And being confident is a must when trying to sell something.

Jols, I don't think she was being offensive just pointing out that you are not a professional photographer (you yourself said you do it as a 'hobby').

Re: Have you got paid for your work?

Jols im pointing out that photography is a skill. Skilled work by its very nature is expensive. Its hardley ripping people off! IMO if a skilled tradesman is going cheap, id be curious about the qualirty of work that is going to be produced

Re: Have you got paid for your work?

I've sold a few now mainly Dogs, but a couple of Horses too.
All head shots...nothing special but people wanted them.
I'd quite like to try some candid wedding shots one day...not into portraits & posed shots, but would love to get some natural, people having fun ones.

Re: Have you got paid for your work?

pool!!! s'all reet for some.

Home at 6 for me, walk and feed the dogs, tidy the house, cook the tea, do the dishes... do some overtime work, and maybe stick a film on at 10. they joys.....

and i've not sold any photography work yet... apart from stuff i've encorporated into brochure designs... and thats mainly been product photography.

I'd love to do wedding photography, but i'd be too worried about mucking up someones big day... it's not like you can say come back tomorrow and we'll try again. lol
