Blossom Birds

Spent 20mins on the garden bench yesterday trying to get a few birds amongst the blossom - before it all blows off.

Struggled a bit with the wind and the light but kept some.

Re: Blossom Birds

I continue to be amazed at how wonderful your bird photos are Phil. They look so natural in their environment. Great job! You certainly have a sharp lens there.

Re: Blossom Birds

These are terribly pretty Phil, love them all especially the second shot.
All the practice, and feeding station etc, is really paying off

Re: Blossom Birds

Another wonderful series Phil. As Bob has said, they look so natural and well framed.

What seed do you use in your feeders Phil, as I'm struggling to get many birds to visit the garden?

Re: Blossom Birds

Thanks folks.

Ken - With regards to what food I'm offering - it depends on the time of year but certainly up to about a fortnight ago....

Niger Seed feeder certainly brings in the Siskins, Redpolls and Goldfinches whilst the Peanut feeder / general bird seed / fatballs either bought or homemade bring in the like of Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Great Tits, Sparrows, Long Tailed Tits plus on the ground the likes of Chaffinches, Dunnocks etc. Obviously provide some water too.
