Little Critters

My (tiny) veggie patch has a lavender plant in it. Now that the rains are here, the flowers seem to be a magnet for the bees.

Bees #1

Bees #2

Bees #3

This tiny (+-7cm, including tail) Cape Day Gecko was looking for lunch.

Wild Asparagus flower - after the rain

Mantis...not exactly a macro-type shot, but I thought the background was interesting - he was knocked off a tree by a feeding elephant and was trying to find his way back, over this very wierd elephant hide landscape!

Re: Little Critters

Great set.

I especially like the bees and the mantis shot which looks even more like a strange landscape if it's turned 90 degrees anti clockwise.
