First Shots with Nikon D60 (More Archie I'm Afraid)!

My new camera arrived today, but unfortunately I haven't really had time to play with it yet. I had to take a couple of pictures though, and Archie found himself in the firing line again! I literally charged the battery and pressed the button, so they're not great, but they're a start!

Just a crop.. shame about the fluff on his beak!

Re: First Shots with Nikon D60 (More Archie I'm Afraid)!

Thanks Phil.. he was doing the upside-down head thing too, but at that exact moment I thought Freda was going to stuff her wet nose in the lens so I had to retreat!

Oh yes Azz, it's just the one that came with it (18-55).. will update now. I couldn't get a camera and wait a day to take pictures! They're are a tad overexposed and the background's a bit messy, but I'll get there. Going to see how the lens copes with flying Archie tomorrow, and who knows, I might even take a picture of something else!

Re: First Shots with Nikon D60 (More Archie I'm Afraid)!

Haha.. you know? I actually have more - is that a surprise? And I also realised I had VR turned off, so these are with VR firmly ON!

For the first time in my life, I've actually been reading the manual supplied with the unit, so I'll be able to graduate from AUTO mode soon!
