Tripod for Panasonic Lumix FZ28

I'm after a tripod for my Lumix FZ28 but don't have much in the way of a budget.

I have realised that it would be handy for photos (had to balance the camera on the garden fence the other day for a timed family photo!) and also so that I can video my dog training when we're outside as I don't have anyone with me to capture our sessions.

Does anyone know where I can get a good but low priced one?

Aldi are doing one from 25/6 i.e. yesterday. It's about 12 quid which in Aldi speak means it is usually equivelant to one about 20-25 quid. Sure it would be good enough to get you started and hold that camera.

Been and picked it up today looks pretty sturdy and useful so will let you know how I get on.

You're right was £11.99 - not bad!

If you look in the leatherette case you should find a zipped pocket with a replacement/spare base plate, so you can have them permanently on two cameras...I have the same tripod, and the plates are on the Fujifilm and the A200. I really need a third for one of the video cameras, but...

In the 12 months I've had it, it has been a very sturdy and useable 'pod. My one regret is that the centre column isn't reversable, but for the money, I can't complain
