Hey BG sorry i should have been more clear - when i said walking up - i meant at an angle not vertical

When i say noting, i mean to put more in front of your subject then behind it

Something like this..

I completely misunderstood you!! Sorry, but thanks for the edit to show what you meant, nothing like my second attempt!! I see what you mean now, and it does look less cluttered and more focused on the subject...

Sorry only just come back on line, by 'more land' I meant in general have more of the background infront of the subject than there is behind. If the subject is looking out of the image that it is not a problem but if it is looking to one side or the other it appears to the viewer that it is about to walk out of the shot instead of into the shot shot.

ie for more land read background
