I'm not one to debate - I hope I didn't come over that way - I've long since left that topic alone on dogsey

Agree with the pretty bit though.

Re: Poor hard-working Sheltie

Lovely photo, she has the same look as mine when really they just want you to get up and start playing with them

She's very border collie like (which to me is a good thing

Re: Poor hard-working Sheltie

I don't really care about breed standards, I love my Sheltie just the way she is, even though I wish for her that she could have grown a little taller, as she shares her life with my Border Collie mixed breed - 58cm and almost 30kg. Due to his temperament and - unfortunately - thyroid illness - there have been severel near-accidents and some real accidents where he run her over. Luckily with no permenant damage...

Re: Poor hard-working Sheltie

Just noticed that you actually requested critique on this one.
Focus and composition look great.
I like the way you got catchlights to the eyes and the overall lighting is good. Were you using some kind of lighting set up?
The only thing that bothers, and this is super nit picky, is the leg on the left. I find it a little distracting as it neither stands out or blends in so my eye keeps getting drawn to it to work out what it is. I would be tempted to either make it stand out a little more from the background or try and clone it out.

Re: Poor hard-working Sheltie

Lovely pic of her relaxing and can really see the difference in her expression when there is a ball involved - great actions shots.
