Re: Nikon SB800

I use the SB-600 as that was more than enough for what i wanted it for (although my next will be the 800)

The flash is great. A little complicated if you havnt used one before, but do your research and its a valuable weapon in your arsenal. You have complete control over the output in manual and also some in auto (i-TTL) The Nikons CLS is a valuable tool aswell, allowing you to use the flash off camera, but controlled within it.

Re: Nikon SB800

Just got home, well an hour ago as i have been playing with it..so chuffed with it and saved over £100 on Jessops prices
yes there is a lot to take in with the manual, but i know just the place where i can study it without fear of interruption

Re: Nikon SB800

Finney lad, why have you bought a flash lead? Does the D40 not have a commander mode?

Re: Nikon SB800

Been having a play with the repeating flash , dropping some dried beans into a pot. very very much trial and error..you can follow one or two beans down as it's been captured six times..
