Great shots Phil! I'm always amazed at how close some people manage to get. I'm thinking our Irish birds are a lot less happy wiht human presence... I can never get anywhere near even the most normally 'tame' species... even with good fieldcraft skills and lots of patience!

Love these images, so sharp and clear! Here these birds are not liked by most people but I admire the color and markings and you caught them so well. They are noisey, mean to other birds and take too much at the feeders. I recently put feed out and would like even the starlings to come...so far I only get a few titmice and a pair of chickadees. Oh ShirleyMarie - what I wouldn't do for titmice and chickadees on my feeders <3 
Of course, we don't get them in Ireland. Never really had starlings visit the feeders either!
