A few birdies
Still not found the time to get out and about with the camera 
so it's just a few randoms from the garden.
Redpoll - we seem to be getting more and more of these in with the Siskins
Sparrow
Robin - just wouldn't quite come from behind that branch
A token Buzzard - Didn't land or come close enough really.
I always seem to struggle photographing coal tits due to the contrast around the head. Anyway here's a right scruffy little fella.
and a couple of sunny Blue Tits

I love Buzzards, shame that didn't come closer!
You still got snow on the ground Phil? I'll be up there in 2 weeks, I was hoping that there won't be too much snow so it doesn't stop us getting out and about.

The big snow from Nov, Dec, Jan has all but gone on low levels.
That said it snowed again yesterday and there's a dusting lying in the fields above the village.
Nothing to worry about though.

Lovely clear/sharp shots Phil, I always seem to get a poor amount of light in our back garden which seems to bring the worst out of any bird pictures that I take.
Do you have a bird bath? As this is always a good source of playful activity.

Nice shots Phil. I just cant seem to get sharp shots of birds with my 7D and 100-400 but will keep at it. Great work

I know what you mean about the light. My feeders are next to the bushes where these shots were taken and after about 2:00pm at this time of year they're in shadow.
Sometimes I wish I had a more modern camera body then I could crank the ISO right up to ISO 1 Million
and still use fast shutter speeds as the light fades.A bird bath is on the list.....
