Wild Dog, as requested!!

Specially for Moonstone....... Hope you will enjoy these!!

Only saw the tick after I took the shot........big one, I would also be looking so sad if it was on my face......

What a way to start a Sunday morning........just before I left for work this morning these guys popped out and man did they cater for some good viewing! Chasing Impalas all over the show, but last time I checked up it was still....Wild Dogs - 0 & Impala - 1.

Well, if I can't catch an Impala maybe I can scare it to death.......or not

Moonstone, you are correct in stating that their numbers are very low, but fortunately there are a good few breading centers around the country that is dedicated to Wild Dog conservation. The decline in numbers were due to ignorance in the old days when farmers used to see them as vermin and tried to eradicate them by any means, The biggest concentration of free ranging Wild Dogs can today be found in the Selous Game Reserve in Tanzania, with Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana following.

Not an award winning image but nice to have, seeing that they are playing & enjoying life here!

Re: Wild Dog, as requested!!

I've just turned green in envy

The first shot of the pup is wonderful, legs everywhere

The shot of them going after the impala is brilliant It is a brilliant set, and one I can only dream of taking.

Good news about the conservation, I hope they continue to stabilise

Thank you for sharing XXXXXXX I have a big grin now

Fabulous! Love wild dogs. Isnt it Parvo or distemper killing them? I think I heard of a vaccination program?
