Church

On my way home from the cinema last night, I passed through the village of Bothwell, and noticed that the local church was all lit up.
I only live 2 minutes from the village, so I went home, got my camera, and headed straight back out.

Here are a few of the shots I took.

Re: Church

Thanks guys.

I was slightly disappointed with number 2 actually, as the breeze slightly caught the camera during the 4 second exposure, so there is a slight blur there which I didn't notice until I'd loaded them from the card...and I think I made it worse by trying to sharpen it a little

Glad you like them though.

And Phil, as for the colours, I had my camera settings on vibrant, and my white balance was set to tungsten.

Picture one was a 10 second exposure, F3.5, iso100
Picture two was a 4 second exposure, F5.0, iso100 and added breeze
Picture three was a 4 second exposure, F4.5 iso100

Re: Church

I did notice the slight blur but didn't think it affected the picture too much on the whole! Love the composition!

Re: Church

Really nice captures, Ian, I think I prefer #2 out of the 3 shots though. I think the portrait orientation in 2 suits it better, it's more dramatic, I think
