Re: Snow Day!!

LOL funny you should say Azz i used my old cruddy Tamron! They're not so crisp when bigger . Didn't want to take my good lenses out as im so blinking clumsy!

I will say that it works alot better with the d700 than the d200. Iv also got new Nikon editing software since too which really helps to sharpen them up. I think the light has really helped to "crisp" them up as its so clear and bright x

Re: Snow Day!!

Yeah I think a lot of the lenses are better suited to Full Frame.

Also, do you mean captureNX? Yes the sharpening on that is excellent - works just like the in-camera sharpening and much better than photoshops for Nikon cameras

Re: Snow Day!!

Does it still have that weird way of working tho? From what I remember it had an odd way of doing (and undoing) things :-/

Re: Snow Day!!

I find it very easy. To undo stuff, its the same as PS - Ctrl+Z

Re: Snow Day!!

Wonderful set, can not believe Cheshire has snow though! and not rain!

Love 5 and 8,hope the kids and Atlas had a ton of fun.

Also more info on CaptureNX needed, especially if you prefer it to Lightroom, as I LOVE Lightroom.

Re: Snow Day!!

I can't remb it much now but I thought the history (going back) was a bit odd in it :-/

Moonie - you can download a free trial, definitely worth trying if you have Nikon gear, it's much better at dealing with Nikon RAW files

Nikon 55-200mm VR

Lovely shots - great exposures and really nice light.

Agree with Moonie though - we leave the area for pastures new and you get snow !!
