Not only springers that get muddy

As the title says, it is not only Springer Spaniels that get muddy.

Please, I would prefer my images NOT to be considered for the "Cream of the Crop" even if they were good enough.

Love the angle you shot this from, he looks very nobleSo sharp too, you can almost smell the lovely aroma of damp dog

Which one of your boys is this? As Benson must be almost the same size a Jago now, so I am not sure which one it isWhoever it is,he is very handsome , and looks like he had a great time

Re: Not only springers that get muddy

This is Jago. Little Benson is 7 months old today and is growing well although a little lighter boned than Jago but that can change

Five minutes after the shot was taken he was in the dream for a wash down and came out pearly white again

Re: Not only springers that get muddy

Love the pose in this photo, very well composed the only thing that lets it down is the blown highlights on the forehead imo. Still a great shot nonetheless!

Re: Not only springers that get muddy

Super shot Steve.

The low viewpoint works really well and if anything the grime just adds to the texture.

You've done well to avert his gaze too - Come on what's your method ?

If I get down low to photograph Fingal he either takes it as a 'come here' sign or looks at me as if so say 'what on earth are you doing on the floor'

Re: Not only springers that get muddy

That is such a familiar pose as Suzi says I can smell it. One problem with mine they are not keen on human applied water so I usually let it dry, I could then plant potatos in the office.
