Loch Rannoch Moon

Shot this hand held at Loch Rannoch between trying to get shots of Some Buzzards and Dippers. Soon gave up and shot the Moon instead

Everytime I was setup for landscape shots, birds would appear and as soon as I changed lenses and camera settings they were off. This is another reason (excuse) to get the 5dMKII, it will allow me to have my 400mm permanently attatched to my 50d ready to shoot birds

Also, just in case anyone is wondering how I can shoot birds in the dark it wasn't, this was shot just after 4pm and a little exposure comp was used

Kit 1
Canon 5D MKII
Canon 400mm f5.6 L
Canon 70-200mm f4.0 L
Canon 17-40mm f4.0 L
Kit 2
Canon 50d

Re: Loch Rannoch Moon

that's very sharp for a hand-held moon shot DJ.
