Very nice (self?) portrait Samnooshka, the lighting is nice and I do like the colour of the skin tones, they look very natural.

I can see the big old softbox catch light in your eyes, and I think if it was me I might reduce the size of the catch light a bit. In your left eye (or right as you look at the picture) it looks like you have a reflection of either you or your hair (or your eye is like that?)

If its not how your eye looks normally then maybe clone the bottom of the right eye to the left?

Are you lighting this from the front and the back? If you have a backlight (lighting up a white backdrop) then I think you need to bring the rear light down a stop or two, just to reduce that halo effect around your shoulder)

Anyway, I am being picky, its a really nice portrait, you have a great face for this kind of shot. The focus is really spot on too, well done

Alan.

Re: Another one of me!

Thanks Alan

Yeah i had a light behind me about 2m behind me lighting up te backdrop and the soft box was really close infront of me. (set the camera off with a remote shutter release).

My eyes... hmm well.... here is a close up from a while ago which shows them better.... (taken about a year ago)
