Maybe if you just stay quiet they won't charge you

Exactly, give them a time limit to pick it up, and tell them you'll have to start charging them storage fees if they haven't picked it up by then

Why should you have to pay for return costs?? I would get them to pay it or come and collect it. I would stand my ground too and again back everything up with emails just incase.

Just spoke to trading standards again and they told me to keep hold of it and send them a latter stating that they need to arrange delivery
