flashes!

Hey guy's! hope you all had a good weekend.

Need to pick your brains... Im getting a flash for my nikon and not sure weather to get the SB-600 or the SB-800.

also if using it wireless to be triggered, do you need a wireless trigger for both?

any input would be great, cheers

Re: flashes!

I have the Sb 800, and it's easy to trigger remotely using your cam as a master without needing a wire.

800 is more powerful, and if you need the range then its the obvious choice.

Re: flashes!

Good luck - if it were me I'd go for the 800 too - and will be when I've saved up for one!

Re: flashes!

If you don't need the extra power of the 800, and are on a tight budget - get the 600, otherwise I'd get the 800

Re: flashes!

I thought the SB800 has already been replaced by the new SB900?

You're correct Bob, it has been replaced by the SB-900 and is superior to the 800.

Re: flashes!

But the SB600 is MORE than anyone will really need unless doing pro shoots.

My SB600 is perfect.

And it's wireless.
