It is called English Cream Retriever here!!!! and I have noticed people say they have rare dogs and puppies for sale in the rare English Cream Colourthere is nothing rare about a pale retriever I haven't seen one as pale as Meggie here though, most are very deep golden.
She's the correct colour!!(although colour is the last thing you should look at in a Golden..she's got what it takes...super looking temperament - the most important thing IMHO) don't let anyone tell you any different, according to the GR breed standard (the UK one not the US one) and the UK one is the important standard since they originated here, in Scotland anyway, the colour should be from Pale Cream to Golden and any shade in between - there! I've got that off my chest - have a nice day! as they say over the pond

Re: Meg

Amen!

It used to pee me off when we first moved over here, now I just shrug my shoulders I did actually get a bit huffy with a lady once, when she tried to tell me Meg wasn't a GR and offered to show her Meg's KC pedigree, was tempted to shove it somewhere TBH I never really wanted a Goldie, my husband always wanted one as a kid, and his Mum went and bought a Chihuahua, not quite the same But, I am now an addict, and can't imagine not having one, love everything about them, even their fondness for the smelliest ,muddiest water. She is a great dog, she lives life at 100 mph or is zonked out,but whatever she is doing, she always looks like she is having fun!
