Interesting image.
Just watch out for halos. There is a bit of a glow around the shed and trees.

Re: Hdr

I am not say the photos are bad or anything but I just don't like HDR photos in general.
They always seem to be un-natural somehow. I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into them to create the effect, but I often wonder if the effort is necessary.

I am not too sure about the sharpness either, looks a bit oversharpened for my liking, a softer version would be my choice.

Its just my personal opinion so please don't take offence

Re: Hdr

Nice one Goggs.

HDR often divides opinion. Some folk like using HDR to get a correct exposure all over the image and pride themselves on making an image that nobody knows is HDR.

Others use HDR to get a 'HDR' type feel. I'm not a big fan of images 'looking' HDR but I can see the attraction.

I think the building is fab in the first picture - great textures on the walls, chimney and roof but you've got a halo / glow thing going on around the building.

I'd say the second one is too soft and you've got a lot of noise in the sky. I'm no expert but keeping the original sky helps a lot as the sky is often the first thing to look odd in HDR.

All said - you've a great location there and that first shot would certainly have me chomping at the bit for more.
Kit 1
Canon 1D Mark 3
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4 L USM
Canon EF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM
Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Kit 2
1D2 & 40D

Re: Hdr

Agree with Phil's post

It's a fab structure, the first image is the best ,also sometimes using a program like Photomatix, and then converting it into Mono, can give you the most amazing Mono shots.(Sorry, going through a Mono phase, and seeing the world in black and white)

It's a fantastic location, and you've captured the textures brilliantly.

Check out Artie, he is the sweetest guy, and an amazing photographer, and his HDR stuff is just stunning- http://www.flickr.com/photos/artiephotography/
