Vista Ultimate for pictures.

Ello!
I am having Vista ultimate next week and wondered if any of you have it? if so are there any benefits with regards to photos and stuff, e.g browsing, storing/filing etc?

There are things like windows media centre and photo gallery - but I have never used them tbh.

The only realy benefit I can think of is if you get the 64bit version you can use more than 3gb ram - but then 64bit has it's own problems.

I wish they'd release OSX for the PC..

I use home premium. Apart from the backing up features, there isnt much difference between the two. Id save your pennies (about £150 of them!) and get the premium version.

Home premium here too.

Use business at work.

Home premium is more than enough for normal use. I may only consider upgrading to business - purely for networking extras.

Thanks folks. It wont cost me anything to get it, thats why Im going for it I suppose if I cant get on with it, then I can always go back to XP proffessional.

Just remember SPECS!

Vista really needs a dual core processor and a MINIMUM of 2 gig ram to run smoothly.

Yeah it is a resouce hog - pcs get faster yet new versions of windows end up eating more resources!
