don't know, but I have mine set to no downloads and I watermark everything I put on there or set it to private if I don't want it watermarked.

I have mine set to ''no downloads'' now............I went to the forum and it seems you cannot tell if a pic has been downloaded....

Re: flickr- nicking pics

If it appears on the screen, anyone can take a screen capture anyway - so even if you could tell it's been downloaded, it doesn't really tell you the full story.

Nikon 55-200mm VR

Re: flickr- nicking pics

I don't see the point of watermarking images either , what is the use if they are not full size and full resolution anyway? they cannot be printed at a reasonable size or quality.
people get carried away with these watermarks so much so that you can hardly see the image at all.

If you are that worried about your (small size and low res) images being downloaded then the only solution is not to upload to an image sharing website in the first place.

You could also try a reverse image search like tineye http://www.tineye.com/
just upload your image and it will search the web to see if it is anywhere else

Canon 70-200mm f4.0 L
Canon 17-40mm f4.0 L

Re: flickr- nicking pics

I am not worried that someone has done to be honest it would not bother me. [Dont all start shooting me down, really life is too short]

It was just a curious thought I had because people do worry about it and I wondered if you can tell.
