Picfolio goes BLACK!!

What a busy week its turning out to be, working until 2-ish most nights up to now. I still managed to take 2 hours out to watch the last two episodes of Heroes tho!

Anyway, just to let you know that thanks to your helpful feedback we've now updated the interface on www.picfolio.com to match the visual I did last weekend.

Still not managed to get the server configured to accept bigger file sizes yet though - just under 5 megs seems to be the largest even though everything says no limits. We have a managed server so we're just waiting for their techies to figure something out. I'll let you know soon as the limits are un-knobbled

Cheers,
Nick

Thanks Phil, and apologies for the problem. What file size are the pics? I'm hoping the glitch can be fixed soon than we can get up and running properly

Re: Picfolio goes BLACK!!

Hi Phil,

I've just uploaded a couple of different sizes of a burning horse (wooden one!!) and it accepted the latest one at 1.74 megabytes. Can't figure out why you can't get any to load, but I've passed your experience on to the tecchies. Thanks for trying

Re: Picfolio goes BLACK!!

Hi all,

Looks like we've sorted the problem! I've just uploaded one of my flower shots which is almost 10 megabytes.

We've also added a script that when you view a photo it displayes the embedded info from the shot, so if you have camera settings recorded this will display them!

Also, when you click on the shot, it brings up a new window with the full size image. Click on that and you zoom in, option click and you zoom out!

We've not decided what the business model will be for this so you may as well use if for free for the time being. I want to beat what Flickr offers, which is 5 meg file size free, 10 megs by subscription. I want to do 10 megs size free, but I'll have to weigh this up against what the server costs and the bandwidth usage.

Hope you like it all so far

Here's the flower shot:
