I've an idea.
I was thinking of upgrading my D50 and I think it's covered on the house insurance.
Imagine if I'd dropped mine but yours was fine as it hadn't been dropped.

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!!!!!!!after listening to KK i just tried my f55 len on my D80(didint think it fit) and it working fine
PHEW!!!!!! thank god for that ! not a very good len but at least it not the camera ! can you imagine how happy i feel still taking it to jessops and see if i can get new lens lol
