Male Bullfinch, Siskin, Great Tit & co

Great Tit

Siskin

Bullfinch - finally started getting these in the garden again now the colder weather has come. Unfortunately not quite bold enough for my perches (whilst I'm about) yet so had to make do with a distant crop for now.

Re: Male Bullfinch, Siskin, Great Tit & co

Is there anything you are hoping to see in your garden Phil that has been seen around Perthshire and surrounding counties but not yet visited your garden??
You do get a superb variety of birds visiting. Not jealous, honestly

Really fantastic as per usual Phil, but I'm finding it hard to pick a fav out of these, I like the Siskin because it's so cute, and the Bullfinch for it's wonderful colours.

LOL

We're very lucky as the garden justs ends at a stream and woodland, behind which is hills so a lot of the birds are there or thereabouts anyway so a few years of feeding and the right kind of plants and trees - seems to bring them in.

Redpolls - I've not seen them back here yet this winter so that would be nice.
Bullfinches - They're still shy. Hopefully when the cold really takes a grip they'll get bolder and I'll get to photograph them more.

Re: Male Bullfinch, Siskin, Great Tit & co

Bullfinches are my absolute favourite 'common' bird - I adore them, and although I've had them in the garden, I've yet to manage any shots of them at all

That first Siskin shot is absolutely superb!
