Re: Time for some new business cards

Its the style and content, nothing wrong in that if its weddings you only want to do or the like.

I would still put the emphasis on a brochure not on a card. As I said a card can and often is handed from one person to another or at least shown to others mainly to get the name and phone number.

I still feel that by restricting yourself to one line of photography you will be loosing out on so much business. Take a look around you, all that advertising has photos and someone has to take them, on bill boards -packaging -- shop displays - tourist boards -catalogues the list is endless, and you want to do just weddings.

You could do different brochures for different targets but a card needs to have the details of your name and telephone number to be as clear as possible and able to be of use to anyone looking to hire a photographer.

If I may suggest you get a few business cards from different businesses and consider their layout. I think whatever business card you get the majority are fairly plain with the main details on.

This obviously is only my suggestion and trying to show you there is more work out there than you are aiming at.

Re: Time for some new business cards

Advertising and the likes dont interest me Bazza, and its not something i would enjoy. I have taken photos along with websites that i have built for customers and i just find it boring! LOL

I see where you are coming from and appriciate the feedback, but for me photography has and always has been done out of the love for it. I dont need the business, we already have Foodcraft. Kanikula Photography has been something that has got me through depression and really helped take my mind off things. Thats why its there, for me.

Re: Time for some new business cards

Your card doesn't say wedding to me, it says Portraiture, which is what you are all about it also ties in perfectly with your new website design.
I would of thought advertising, and product work is another completely specialised field TBH. The same as Portraiture.

I hope the new design brings you more clients, good luck xx

Re: Time for some new business cards

KK,

I have 2 designs of cards, one is for weddings and more formal, the other is for pet portraits and less formal. Then i have snowpaw ltd business cards which have our logo and contact information if you want me to show them to you i will dig them out.

I understand what Bazza is saying though.

Bazza , sorry I just meant that I think KK's heart lies in Portraiture, and that this card design works well for that. Not that your idea for more work for KK was bad
