Canon 50D (Rumour)
Saw these specs for the new 50D
1.6x crop
15.1MP --- 4752 x 3168 pixels
JPEG´s + RAW + sRAW1 + sRAW2
Dust Reduction
Digic IV
Auto Brightness Processing
95% viewfinder .97 magnification
9 point af (All Cross Type)
AF Fine Tuning [AF microadjustment]
Face recognition for AF
ISO 100-3200 Expanded 6400-12800
Auto ISO 100-1600
LCD VGA type 920,000
6.3 FPS (high speed) 3fps (low speed)
Buffer: 16 RAW - 60 JPG - 10 RAW+JPG
Pop-Up flash (13/43 at ISO 100)
UDMA Support
Camera User settings C1 & C2
Shutter Actuations: 100,000
These are rumours don't forget, and if you look at the last rumoured specs below you can see that this list is way higher, and my be more akin to a wish list than a spec
Not sure what the auto ISO is, whether that just works in 'green square and prog' modes or whether Canon are going to have some kind of ISO priority (please) mode
Especiall the Digic 1V and ISO 12,800. The real clanger has to be the 'face recognition' though, on an SLR?

It has to be at least 12mp to compete with the D300 too, which I think a lot of people paid the extra to get over the 40d.
Look forward to seeing some concrete info on the 50D tho - I'm sure it will be a cracker

Well if the Rumour-Mongers are right, there is going to be an offical announcement on the 26th August.
I would have thought that Canon would have waited until next month for Photokina, but who knows how these corporations operate?
