Re: Moorhen & Babies

3rd ones the best C. The first has too much in it fighting for attention, and no real focal point. 2nd one is let down by the sun/lighting

Nikon D300
Nikon 55-200mm VR
Kit 2
Nikon D40
Nikon 18-55mm

Re: Moorhen & Babies

I agree , the first one has far too much going on and sprawled all over the place (sorry). I actually like #2 though, I think the lighting adds something to the shot.

Canon EF 24-105mm
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8

Re: Moorhen & Babies

I agree too about the first shot, not quite sure where to focus on.

Nice shots though

When i was a kid, must of been about 14 i guess, i went to stay in a caravan with my mum, sister and brother. My brother being about 4 at the time, came running around the side of the caravan shouting "loooook looook.... a moron!!" and pointing his finger at some bushes... we're all thinking what the hell is this boy on... and out of the bushes comes a Moorhen LOOL

Re: Moorhen & Babies

I like the second, it makes the baby look vulnerable, hiding in the shadows.

The first , could you perhaps zoom in and crop it so you just have the Mum and the first couple of babies????
