Old and new thistle (KK the lightroom edited pic)

I know I showed some thistles yesterday , and they were fine, but the day before I took some, and they came out all wrong, anyway with the miracle of lightroom,I have sort of saved some. Here is an example....

Before ... I had been going for the moodiness and spikiness of the thistle against the sky but, messed up the exposure

After..... Okay not what I wanted to achieve, but alot better.

I know this is sort of cheating too, and it would be much better to get it right in camera, and I am working on that but at least if I take some pics I really like but they aren't quite right I can now tweak them a bit.

No, it is the highest quality jpeg thingy on my camera, I have know tried Raw though, and have taken a load of shots to do some HDR stuff with.

It was really quick aswell in lightroom I know it is a nothing special pic, but it is amazing what you can salvage

Do always shoot in RAW???

Yep, I noticed that, I filled a CF really quick with RAW, I have several CF's now, but it surprising how quickly you can fill one up if you are out and about
I think if I am going to be trying RAW more, then I should get some more
