Archie (Red-tailed Hawk)

Just a few of my Archie...

Apologies for the background; I just thought I'd take a few of him being his inquisitive self!

Trying to look grown-up despite his little bits of down..

.. upside-down. Love this picture, but unfortunately he's not central as he was looking extra closely at the camera-strap, so it couln't be helped!

Re: Archie (Red-tailed Hawk)

Thanks very much! He's happy to be photographed anytime and loves the attention, so you'd be welcome! He was handreared when he was rejected by his parents - not ideal, but he's such a lovely boy, and so funny! Can't believe he can turn his head completely upside down like that, but he does it all the time!

Thanks for that, some very good ideas! Might have to re-address Archie portraits when I get my new camera.. would really like some close-ups with really out-of-focus backgrounds, but I can't seem to get this with my current camera.. and birds in flight - one day!
