I think the background could have been 'nicer' and the crop wasn't so tight. And maybe try a slightly different angle.. maybe a little lower and tiny bit to the right. I would have also put the camer in aperture priority mode and open it up as wide as possible to try and get a blurred background

I could like this one, but maybe move the camera lower, and perhaps get all of the dogs body in?

Same as number #1, i.e try to get the camer more at eye level

Really like the second one, can't give C&C as I'm no photographer!

Well I think that all three are great and would not change a thing that is why I asked what Gina thought was wrong with them.

O.K. Can I say a bit of helpful critics? To this image of the golden, my main critics are:
- the crop is very tight, in fact is seems the ear on the right is cropped, that should not happen
- the focus is on the nose of the dogs, it should be on the eyes
- on a portrait, the dog should always look at his best - so it is worth to clean his eyes and wipe a bit the slobber

My critics to the cavalier:
- probably white balance was set up on sunny sky instead of "shadow" or "cloudy", as the dog´s hair goes a bit into blue, try to enhance it in PS (or better, get it right in the camera straight, next time you shoot - saves up time in front of PC)

My critics to the last pic:
Nothing is really wrong with this image. You probably had bad weather, which is why the image looks a bit "sad". I´d crop it a bit to get rid of the distracting row of bushes on top of the image and I´d play a bit with levels, saturation and colors. I´d also suggest to "warm up" the image a bit - white balance on "shadow" or "cloudy" in camera or a bit of editing in PS.
