Quality of light for me Ken lifts this.

Re: It's snow good

I can see why you like the scene Ken and as Brian says the light is lovely.

For me the problem lies in all those horizontals with that tree branch being so straight across and just up from the natural horizon.

I like the little zig zag fence posts and I would try some alternative angles that allows them and the footprinted snow and foreground not to be dominated by the horizontals.

Lovely lit image that makes me shiver

BUT

What is that bright red in the top left corner? It's got me intrigued

Thanks Daisy, I really appreciate the detailed CC, looking at it again I can see what you mean.

Yes I shall miss the low sun light of the winter, but not the cold

Hey Steve, that's my 24-105L complaining about the sun that's just above the frame and cropped out. Normally a good lens, but if the sun is in the shot it does flare.

Re: It's snow good

Not had any snow at all this year meh. Love this though, agree with what others have said but think it's very pretty and very nicely lit.

Re: It's snow good

I do like this shot Ken but do agree with Sharon about the branch, maybe taking a saw with you next time will sort this problem out ......
Worth having a go at this shot again when we get more snow, from a different angle maybe
