I had no birds in the garden...

Then I noticed this little visitor in one of the garden trees.

Sorry about the quality, I had to shoot through a small gap in an open window, so not to spook him.

Re: I had no birds in the garden...

Well spotted.

I've got a pesky Sparrowhawk that keeps swooping my bird feeders at the moment.

Re: I had no birds in the garden...

You did well to capture this bird; they can be very elusive.

We have had a couple of Sparrow-hawks visiting our garden regularly ever since we moved into the house some 18 months ago.

I have got loads of shots of the hawks, (there are two of them), stalking and eating their prey, but I haven't managed to photograph them actually catching their prey.

I still live in hope.

Here's a couple I took earlier this year.

Re: I had no birds in the garden...

Lovely Sparrowhawk pics, we used to have one would pop into the garden, terrifying for the little birds, but beautiful to watch them swoop, and a lot of the times miss TBH.
