Re: Luke......being Luke

Azz has said the only thing I would have commented on, he is a smashing lad, looks cold, was he or was it one of those expressions models pull when you don't want it and you dare not say anything because it is better than what you got before.

Realy like the skin tone and the soft light.

Re: Luke......being Luke

I like the fact the hat is sharp and the face a tad soft.

sharp sharp sharp is not always the way to go.

Re: Luke......being Luke

Agree that sharp is not always needed or wanted but when it comes to eyes I think it is.

Not been around much Jols, bet you are up to your neck in exciting commissions do find time to drop by and tell us about them.

I think it depends on what you are photographing and the impact you want the photo to have. In a portrait where the subject is looking directly at the camera then I think the eyes should be the focus, if they are holding an object then you might want to experiment with focusing on the object, or if they were turned away from the camera you could then try focusing on different areas, however IMO it doesn't quite work when you are taking a portrait and the subject is looking directly at the camera.

I think this could be a great image MS, if you switch the focus to the eyes as oppose to his hood You have framed it well (although I am unsure whether or not I would prefer to have the rest of his chin in the shot as well).

Re: Luke......being Luke

Thanks for the feedback guys xxxxx

It all looks sharp on my laptop I am having problems editing pics, on here, so I am having to guess if something is sharp enough on your monitors, as it just isn't the same editing on here , as it is on my pc and big monitor

I can it see what you all mean by the focus being on the top of the hood, whoops! I did like the composition, but will try and get a better focus on Lukes eyes. Thanks xx
