Out of the darkness
This is probably the 1st time i have processed an image of a flower this way, using a black background instead of its natural BG. It is such a beautiful colour i think it needed showing off

I like photos against a black background, puts the emphasis on the subject well and truly. How did you light this ?

The images can be effective, personally i love this one.
All i did to end up with this image Brian is move the Blacks slider in the program Canon Raw 6.7, then tweaked the highlights/Shadows a tad and hue/Saturation a tad, only like 1% on them everything. Any light hitting the flower is sunlight
