Photographic Outings

Hi everybody

I've been thinking about this idea for a while maybe its the camera club member coming out here, plus I know it's been mooted before, what about an outing in areas, for example all the members from one area I'll say either Tayside or the NE of Scotland depending on how many members live within that area meet one sunday and go out taking photos at an agreed location and show them on YOP at the same time, other members from other areas are doing the same in their respective areas, each team we will call them will have an appointed member who will gather the best 2 or 3 images from each member of their team and post them on yop at he same time as other teams post their images, and on top of that we all get to meet each other on a more personal level over lunch and a drink.and basically have a fun day out.

Re: Photographic Outings

You could use the social groups as a means of getting people together who are going, and if anyone drops out they simply leave the social group. That way everyone knows who's going and who's not.

Best to organise it on the forums first, and only start a social group when you know where you are going and on what date

Re: Photographic Outings

We are hoping to organise a Northwest one for Chester Zoo, once the kids are back at school. It won't be until at least September though.
