Tripod

I want to buy a Tripod, nothing fancy or expensive, just basic. How much would I be expected to pay?

Re: Tripod

Do you think it is worth me spending money more than that on one???

I have no idea of what to look for in a Tripod

Re: Tripod

I'd say if you were on a tight budget then no, but you do get what you pay for, so if you spend more you will get a better quality one that will be more useful.

Take a look at this thread discussing those tesco tripods:

Hama Star 42 or Hama Star 75 Tripod?
Kit 1
Nikon D300
Nikon 55-200mm VR
Kit 2
Nikon D40
Nikon 18-55mm
My Compact/P&S: Panasonic Lumix TZ7

Re: Tripod

Thank you Azz, I should of searched on here

Reading that thread, I think I am going to purchase the heavier of the two, and then when I have some spare cash buy a really good quality one, that will last for ages.

My Olympus isn't heavy, even with my bigger lens, so I think for now this should be fine. Thanks Azz

Re: Tripod

I still haven't got a round to it, but the hamas are quite appealing at that price!

It could always be used as a back up, much cheaper than spending 90 odd quid too
