Re: best setting for a wedding ?

I would say the best setting for a wedding would be a church, although stately homes would come a close second.
It really depends on the bride and groom, some nowadays get married abroad, others have weird ideas like getting married deep sea diving.

Re: best setting for a wedding ?

Goodness this is a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string' question. Would depend on so many things not least of which would be the weather and the place the ceremony is taking place. Somewhere beautiful but at the same time not too distracting, somewhere with good light but with some sort of romantic character. Suppose above all somewhere with atmosphere.

Re: best setting for a wedding ?

The best setting is the one with the quickest escape route,

If in doubt let aperture mode do most of the work. Its not easy to say without knowing what kind of lighting there is or how many your shooting, or even how the guests are stacked up.

its one of those see when you get there things

Re: best setting for a wedding ?

I had a giggle to myself when I saw Bazza's first reply last night but I wasn't sure whether he was being funny or not.

If what you say is true and the pictures are going to be group shots then 'fast' movement isn't really an issue. I'd be inclided to use Shutter Speed priority and let the camera sort out it's own aperture sizes for any changes in light.
