these owl plasticus birds of prey are really rare, you were very lucky to get this shot.

Many years ago a rare bird turned up at a nature reserve and was spotted in a reedbed, a purple heron if memory serves me well. News was sent out and the twitchers descended, duly ticking said bird and going away happy, some commented on its stealthy movement through the reeds.

Turns out it was a stuffed bird some wag had stashed in the reedbed, a lot of red faces and excuses were evident. Mind you your not considered a proper birder until you mis identity a plastic bag in a field as a egret.

Properly placed this guy would fool a few.
