New Goodies from Seattle

Even though my friend, Warren, & I got soaked on our ride this weekend I still managed to have a great time. I stopped in 4 camera shops while in Seattle, Washington to find a Nikkor 35mm DX AF-S 1.8 lens. I decided against a nifty 50 because I already have a Nikkor 60mm Macro lens and wanted some focal length separation between my two prime lenses. I'm also receiving a Really Right Stuff L-Bracket custom made for my Nikon D90 and a Gitzo Ball head to mount the quick release bracket that mates to that L-Bracket. Two seconds to go from Landscape to Portrait while remaining centered on the tripod. I'm excited about trying everything out. Of course I'll post the results.

The Fall foliage has begun to show itself so the next two weeks are critical. I am sooooo excited! Can you tell? LOL

Re: New Goodies from Seattle

Nice one Bob.

I think the 35mm is a good choice on a crop camera anyway. Much as I like my nifty fifty it's more like 75mm so the 35mm should be giving you that 'standard' 50mm.

Nice head, Very posh !
