Teleconverter Mistake

I received the Nikon TC-17EII teleconverter that I had ordered the other day & quickly opened the box to read the instructions. To my dismay this informed me that my Nikkor 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6 VRII lens is not compatible with this product. Bummer! I read on to learn the the few totally functional lenses that are compatible are top end high speed lenses costing 5-10 times more than my new camera. It's just not going to happen, especially with me unemployed. I jumped on B&H's website and applied for a RMA to return the teleconverter and exchange the $400 for a new Nikkor 50mm 1.4 prime lens. I await their reply. They have a liberal return policiy, being one of the best professional camera shops in the United States. I don't anticipate and problems.

What a pain eh!

I'm sure you'll be very happy with the 50 1.4 - it's one of my favourite lens that I hope to get one day! Look forward to seeing your shots with it Bob!

I figured that I can't go wrong with a fast prime lens.
