Re: Sony A700

Ok Azz...I got in from work quite late tonight, had my dinner, and then quickly sat down to my new camera...or more to the point...my new MANUAL!
Anyhoo...
I haven't even scratched the surface of my new "toy" yet, but here are the first few shots taken with the new Sony, along with a couple from my "old" Dimage Z2, just to compare them both in what was a fairly, low light environment. I have used Roosevelt as my test subject!

Firstly the Dimage Z2 (using built in flash)

Sony Alpha a700 ( No Flash used )

This time I managed to get a better balanced picture with the Z2, again, having to use the flash

Sony Alpha a700 ( again, no flash required )

That's Logan BTW, having a nosey to see why Roosevelt is getting all the attention.

Like I said, I've only had a couple of hours to work with tonight, and I'm pretty tired, but I'm off work all weekend, ( a first for me ) and I fully intend to get to grips with the camera and everything it has to offer.

Re: Sony A700

The first of the Sony pics is on full auto. For the second one I adjusted the WB.

I have to say that, both sets of pictures are taken from slightly different angles, with the dimage shots having the lamp directly behind Roosevelt, so I've re-taken the shot again from the same angle, with both cameras on full auto and without using the flash.

Dimage 1st

..and the Sony!

The 1st shot is exactly what you're talking about Azz!
