Fabulous shot!! Welcome to the forum, can't wait to see more.

As for the silky/frozen debate not to highjack the thread but all depends on the shot in my opinion, this is the right and choice of the 'tog.

As for "frozen" water being harder, I disagree totally. Exposing correctly with a long exposure using a filter is a lot harder than just clicking to freeze the water.

Really do like these type of sea-scape shots, makes me envy that i don't get to the coast often enough or can't get to the right coast line cause of distance?!
