Hi Phil thanks, it wasn't actually, it was a combination of a 0.6ND and 0.6 ND Grad.

Not criticising the above photo at all but I was wondering why so many photographers prefer to try and smooth out moving water? I prefer to try and "freeze " the water movement which is far tougher to do, but can produce much better pictures in relationship to the way one sees it in real life.

It's just personal preference Bazza - in this image though as the tide pauses before receding you could see it creamy like this with the naked eye albeit briefly.

Each to there own though - be boring if we all liked the same things
