Weathered Building

Sometimes I go photographing stuff, not for the actual photo but for future use combined with other photographs. Textures, backgrounds, skies & foliage come to mind. I saw this interesting outbuilding with really old, weathered wood. I loved the color so I photographed the whole building, then took a closeup of just one section. These represent the results.

Re: Weathered Building

Hi Bob - I like the concept. The colours of the shed and cat compliment each other perfectly - but the car colour and form really detracts from what you're trying to achieve.

Re: Weathered Building

Thanks Jack. This cat lives at the restaurant where I ate. He & his sister kitty wander all over the vehicles at their leisure. I'll ask the kitty to move to a better colored car next time. LOL

Re: Weathered Building

Great textures again Bob! And again in the first pic the only thing I would be tempted to do is straighten it a little:

Re: Weathered Building

Hey Azz,

Just swivel your monitor a little for bobs shots, then they will all look fine LOL

Sorry bob

Its a great idea though, using the texture of the wood panels to frame other shots, I like it. I'm like you Bob, I do texture shots all the time too, bricks, slates, wooden doors, leaves etc, they do come in handy
