Here's a couple from last week.

He is so active that it is nigh on impossible to get a sitting portrait of him. He'll sit, I'll take a few steps back and he stays sat, I kneel down and he'll still be sitting but soon as I put the camera to the eye and lose eye contact with the little **&&^^ runs to me me and there is nothing to photograph except a blur of fur.

DOGS GRRRRRR

Re: Benson for Moonstone

Great action shots, Wow! he has grown,I can see what you mean about finer boned, but he looks well proportioned and great. Now I have seen pics of them both they are actually very different

You don't see many Clumbers as pets do you? There is only one I have ever seen, and he was nothing like your boys, much rounder, and waddled, not fat just dumpy and sort squished I do think they are a lovely breed I love their squishy chocolatey noses

Re: Benson for Moonstone

Many people go through life without seeing a Clumber Spaniel. There are less than 200 registered each year (up to 2006) and they are on the KC vulnerable breed list.

They certainly have lots of character and are just soooooo stubborn when they want be

Re: Benson for Moonstone

You can go to Crufts and see them at Discover Dogs

I do like them, for some reason, please don't take this the wrong way, they remind me of Golden Retrievers. Happy, good natured, fun but stubborn dogsIt could be the big squishy noses too

Nice pics Steve. Benson is growing up very quickly although I think it always seems that way with other people's dogs.

Now that suprises me, I thought it would be a lot less. One of my breeds only had 113 registered in 2007 and yet they are far more well known than Clumbers (although Crufts can be blamed in part for raising the profile of the breed).

Lovely shots, Benson looks like a right character

As you say, grass seeds can be a problem if one is not observant. Their ears aren't quite as large and flappy as springers and cockers but you do have to vigilant.
