A Lily...
I had a practice with the lilies again. Comments please. Its straight off the camera, so any editing tips very welcome.

I like it as a shot, but I think its a shame that you loose the middle in the background (Does that make sense?)

It will be easy to increase the exposure to brighten the image a bit, my problem is the composition and the point of focus.
Not sure where you placed your point of focus but it would seem to be on part of one of the petals and the composition would have pleased me more if you had taken it from a higher view point so the staples fell within the flower.
Now composition and point of focus are a personal choice of the person making the image so if this is what you wanted when you pressed the shutter then fine just ignore me as I am only speaking about my viewing preference.

other than the points already mentioned - I would also be inclined to edit out those other two petals from other flower heads - they distract the eye away from the featured Lily head.
