Re: Your Favourite photo of 2008

Hayley - I love your photos. I'm always curious on what can be accomplished with a little enhancement. Please give your opinion of the subtle changes I've made.

Re: Your Favourite photo of 2008

Here you go..one of my favorites.. nothing special about it, but I love this photo of him..it just oozes his personality through and through.

And this one, was one of the first I took with my Nikon D40X..again, proberbly lots wrong with it...but I just love the detail in the photo, the water droplets , you can almost feel the water on her.

Re: Your Favourite photo of 2008

ooh... for me it's this one:

I know it was only taken recently, but I am totally in love with it the lighting was just right, and he sat still for me!! :o I think if I could I would have changed the shadow under his beak so it wasn't there and something isn't quite right with the lighting, but i think that's my edit!

Re: Your Favourite photo of 2008

I use Adobe photoshop Elements 7 to enhance the sharpness of just the eyes by increasing them on a separate layer, doing a ctrl-g, then painting in that sharpness with a brush. That leaves everything else, like the skin, soft while making the eyes "pop". I used the clone tool to easily cover over the blurred lamp that was distracting.

LMAO .... I ONLY have CS3!!!!

Hayley - it's an awesome package - I consider myself proficient in it's use as I've done a number of PS courses... but I never stop learning. The people who designed and built CS3 are nothing short of geniuses!!

Re: Your Favourite photo of 2008

Not sure if I have a favourite, as it tends to be the most recent ones, as hopefully they are better than the last One that I am really pleased with is a lighthouse pic

I am pleased with the Mono conversion, the composition, and it is one that I wouldn't be embarassed anybody seeing it is also my OH's fave and I got it enlarged and framed at Christmas for him.

Have to add one of my orange pics, as I am really pleased with the lighting etc, and it was the pic that I felt my photography is starting to be okay

I have lots of snaps of the kids and the dogs, that I love, but have yet to really get one where I go , I love it, as I see little things wrong with each effort.

2008 was an eyeopener for me, I had never been interested in Photography until March, when I posted a few pics on Dogsey , and got some great feed back ,and then Azz told me to get my bum over here. TBH, if it hadn't been for the encouragement and comments from you guys, I probably would of given up

So I am going to go all soppy, and than you all, who helped me in 2008
and it's all your fault that I keep spending money on photographic stuff, instead of shoes xxxxxx
