Your Favourite photo of 2008

How about we start a thread for posting your favourite photo that YOU have taken in 2008.

Why is it your favourite, what would you do if you had chance to shoot it again, would you change anything. Perhaps it is your fave because it may bring back memories or something special. Perhaps post up 2... your fave that you have taken because you think it is a great shot, and another as your fave for any other reason.....

I'll start

This picture is my favourite shot for 2 reasons... technically the lighting was perfect, bright enough that it brought out the details in the dark areas and not bright enough to over expose the white areas. The shot was taken with Lupo not looking at the camera (for a change!), it implies that there is something going on and also the way he is standing you can't see that he is actually chained out. i love the depth of field and the snowy backdrop as it is very suited for the type of dog Lupo was.

The 2nd reason is for personal reasons, this is probably the only shot i have of Lupo looking so grown up and starting to mature and develop nicely, he had just come back into coat after moulting and he was looking amazingly fit and healthy after a full season of working. I have it on canvas waiting to be mounted on my wall.

What would i change? Not much really, i was lucky with this shot. If i could have planned it i would have wiped his face and his chin as he had been digging and has mud under his chin.

Hows next then ?????

Re: Your Favourite photo of 2008

My favorite was taken during my vacation in mid-October. I had planned this vacation months in advance to coincide with peak Fall folliage. I was truly blessed on the day I took this photo because of the exceptional weather that allowed a clear photograph of Mt hood. The forground in the photo exploded with a wide variety of brilliant Autumn colors. It's my favorite of all time. I wouldn't change anything.

This photo, also taken during my vacation, was a good fortune find. I was riding to Astoria, OR when I spotted this park off the highway. I'd never noticed it before & decided to explore. A paved path wound all throughout the trees for miles. This tree struck me as so majestic I had to stop, set up my tripod, and capture it forever. I like the composition and lighting detail in the shadows of the textured tree trunk. It hangs on the wall in my friend's new home over their fireplace. I had it professionally enlarged to 10x13 and professionally framed. I gave them the photo yesterday as a Christmas present. I wouldn't change anything.

Re: Your Favourite photo of 2008

I'm not bragging when I say it wasn't an easy decision. It's been a great year for me with my new Nikon D40X. I got it last Christmas and because of it's quality features I've elevated my landscapes to a new level. I can't wait for Summer.

Re: Your Favourite photo of 2008

I think these are my favourite 2.
The 1st is my boy and I just love the expression on his face, plus I just think he just looks great in this shot, prob my favourite one I've ever taken of him.

The next is my girl Missy, this shot is typical of her character, shes a very vocal girl and full of life!

Re: Your Favourite photo of 2008

Love all the pictures posted so far!! It is such a very hard decision especially as I had a baby in Feb so many baby pics to choose !
so If it is ok I will have two...

This is my favourite pic I have taken in 2008 of Len

Think I could do with Editing that top right corner.. it looks like there is a bit missing but it is a gap in the trees also a bit of fluff above his eye.

And.. My Favourite Photo I have taken of Ewan in 2008

Don't think I could change anything about this one.

Both Shots taken with the Fujifinepix
